Cornwall, Ontario – The Cornwall Colts triumphed in Game 5 of the CCHL Jr. A Hockey series at Ed Lumley Arena on Thursday, March 28, 2024, defeating the Hawkesbury Hawks with a convincing 6-2 victory. With an attendance of 1,089 fans, the Colts showcased their dominance, winning the series 4-1 and advancing to the second round.

Ethan Montroy led the charge for the Colts, scoring twice in the first period, earning him the game’s First Star. The Colts continued their offensive onslaught with goals from Tristan Miron, Nathan Garnier, Adam Walker, and Luc Beliveau. The Hawks responded with goals from Alexis Billequey and Noah Leithman, but it wasn’t enough to stop the Colts’ momentum. The Colts’ goaltender, Donald Hickey, had an impressive game, stopping 27 of 29 shots. The Hawks were one for four on the power play, while The Colts went one for five with the man advantage.
