3rd Annual Help for Hope Lottery Launched by Alzheimer Society

The Alzheimer Society of Cornwall & District launched their 3rd annual Help for Hope Lottery fundraiser on September 19th, 2022.

This year, there will be two early bird prizes of $500, in addition to the grand prize of $5,000. The early bird prizes will be drawn on October 19th, 2022, and the grand prize will be drawn on November 19th, 2022, at the Army Navy Club for their 2nd annual A Christmas to Remember fundraiser auction and spaghetti dinner.

All proceeds will go to support local programs and services offered by the Alzheimer Society of Cornwall & District such as caregiver support, education, and adult day programs.

Every year, 76,000 Canadians are diagnosed with dementia. One in five Canadians has experience caring for someone with dementia. This cause is near and dear to many because Alzheimer’s disease touches so many lives in different ways. The work that the Alzheimer’s Society does is important because they help everyone who is affected, not just the person who is diagnosed.

The Help for Hope lottery is only available to Ontario residents aged 18 and above. Tickets for A Christmas to Remember will be on sale mid-October.

To purchase tickets, visit the Alzheimer Society office in Cornwall, or call (613) 932-4914. For more information about the Alzheimer Society of Cornwall & District, visit their website at https://alzheimer.ca/cornwall/en.
