McConnell Avenue – CNR Overpass Expansion Joint Repairs
From October 21 to 25, repairs to the expansion joints on McConnell Avenue CNR overpass will be taking place. During the work, the overpass will be intermittently reduced to one lane of traffic. The City of Cornwall thanks all motorists for their patience and cooperation.
Cumberland St and Emma St Culvert Replacement
Construction for the replacement of the Cumberland St and Emma St culvert replacement is scheduled to start October 21. For the duration of construction, the intersection of Cumberland St and Emma St will be closed to through traffic. A pedestrian crossing will remain open and be provided through the intersection for the duration of construction.
Intersection of York St and Sixth St
The intersection of York St and Sixth St will be temporally closed to through traffic starting October 21 for approximately one week. Sixth St between Augustus St and Bedford St will be closed, with access for two way local traffic only. This closure is required to allow the contractor to complete work in the intersection of Sixth St and York St and to ensure the safety of both workers and the public.
Tollgate Road Bike Lanes Construction
Starting October 28, the construction of bike lanes on Tollgate Rd between Brookdale Ave and Fortier St will begin. During the work, the Tollgate Road will be intermittently reduced to one lane of traffic. The City of Cornwall thanks all motorists for their patience and cooperation.
