Cornwall, Ontario – There was a lineup out the door along Pitt Street on Saturday, May 4, as Fantasy Realm hosted Free Comic Book Day, coincidently coinciding with the beloved Star Wars Day celebration, “May the Fourth Be with You.” Over 400 enthusiasts, hailing from Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Massena, Akwesasne, and local areas around SDG, flocked to downtown Cornwall for a chance to snag free comics from leading publishers.
Randy Sauve, the owner of Fantasy Realm, remarked on the event’s success, stating, “There was a fantastic lineup this morning. It’s the 23rd edition of Free Comic Book Day, putting comic books in customers’hands and hopefully bringing them back to keep reading the stories that will carry on through the summer from the publishers. The kids love it; they’re dancing and screaming outside from about 9 o’clock, an hour before we open the door.”
