CORNWALL, Ontario – A 36-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Nov. 28, 2019 and charged with the following:
* Assault with a weapon x 2
* Threats
* Administer noxious substance x 2
* Trespassing at night
* Mischief under $5,000
* Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
It is alleged on Nov. 26, the man was trespassing on the property of a man known to him, at which time he administered bear spray, injuring the man and his ex-girlfriend and damaging a window. He also made threats to kill the man. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Nov. 28, 2019, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
