CORNWALL, Ontario – Richard Massia, 59, and May Burgess, 50, both of Cornwall, were arrested on Feb. 15, 2019 and each charged with theft over $5,000 and theft under $5,000 x 3. It is alleged between June and July 2018, both individuals took a quantity of jewellery, a television, a computer, and decorative statues from a woman known to them without her permission. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Feb. 15, 2019, the man and woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. They were taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on March 28, 2019.
