CORNWALL, Ontario – A Lamoureux Park tradition turns 30.

The City of Cornwall announced the lineup of 22 music artists set to rock the downtown core this summer during its Arts in the Park program.

The festivities kick off at 8:45 p.m. on Saturday (July 18) with an outdoor movie screening sponsored by Cornwall-based international charity Rachels Kids.

In addition, the Seaway Valley Theatre Company will be presenting Edward Albee’s Seascape on July 30, 31, August 1 and 2.

“We are thrilled with this year’s lineup of shows and performers. There really is something for everyone,” said Lorne Taillon, the city’s leisure arts coordinator.

Shows are held outdoors at the Lion’s Club Bandshell in Lamoureux Park, and all musical performances will begin, weather permitting, at 7 p.m., unless otherwise specified.

The Seascape production by Seaway Valley Theatre Company will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Taillon said all Arts in the Park events are free however donations are gratefully accepted to help offset the cost of the programming. Free parking is also available behind the bandshell and at the nearby Cornwall Civic Complex.
