CORNWALL, Ontario – A 30-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Aug. 2 and charged with the following:
Assault x 2
Mischief
Forcible confinement
Breach of probation for failing to keep the peace
It is alleged that on July 22, the man assaulted his girlfriend and prevented her from leaving the residence. The man also allegedly damaged a car and assaulted another man known to him.
The man was located by police on Aug. 2 after an investigation ensued. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
His name was not released to protect the identity of the victims in the matter.
