CORNWALL, Ontario – Cornwall and the United Counties of SD&G are under a sever thunderstorm watch.
“Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts,” the alert from Environment Canada reads. “Conditions will become favourable for severe thunderstorms to develop this afternoon as a cold front moves through. The main threat is damaging wind gusts of 90 to 100 km/h.”
The Weather Network does not forecast thunderstorms to start until around 5 p.m. this evening. Until then, expect sporadic rain showers throughout the day.
