LONDON, Ont. — Alex Christopoulos scored three goals and added an assist as the visiting Windsor Spitfires defeated the London Knights 6-3 in Ontario Hockey League action on Friday.

Shane Wright, Noah Morneau and Matthew Maggio also scored for the Western Conference-leading Spitfires (44-17-4-2), who were outshot 40-28 but received superb goaltending from Joey Costanzo.

George Diaco scored twice for the Knights (43-21-2-0), while Easton Cowan netted a single.

The Spitfires led 2-0 after the first period and took a 4-2 lead into the third.

Sahil Panwar scored twice and added an assist for the Bulldogs (33-30-5-0), while Nick Lardis netted a single.

The Bulldogs led 1-0 after the first period but trailed 3-1 heading into the third.


GUELPH, Ont. — Brayden Gillespie made 14 saves and earned the shutout as the Guelph Storm defeated the visiting Erie Otters 3-0.

Braeden Bowman had a goal and two assists for the Storm (34-28-4-1), while Max Namestnikov and Zackary Sandhu netted singles. Matthew Poitras chipped in with three assists.

Netminder Jacob Gibbons stopped 21 of 24 shots for the Otters (20-40-2-5).
