This morning a statement issued by Buckingham Palace shared that Queen Elizabeth was under medical supervision at her home in Balmoral, Scotland, where she has been spending the summer.

The news caused concern in the country and around the world as members of the Royal family quickly made their way to Balmoral Castle. It was unusual for Buckingham Palace to release such a statement on the Queens health, and in the late morning crowds started to form outside Buckingham Palace and Balmoral Castle.

The news of her passing came just after 1:30 on the afternoon of September 8, 2022.

Queen Elizabeth II was born in Mayfair, London, on April 21, 1926. She was the first child of the Duke and Duchess of York.

May she rest in peace.
