CORNWALL, Ontario – The 22nd annual Stroke Fore Stroke Golf Tournament in support of the Heart & Stroke Foundation is teeing off at the Cornwall Golf and Country Club on Friday, July 27.

The event begins with a shotgun start and participants will have a bunch of fun activities and food to enjoy while they make their way around the 18-hole course.

The tournament is $135 per-person, which gets the participant a power cart, burger and beer and a choice of prime rib or chicken marsala for dinner.

Teams will be made from groups of four. There will be prizes for men’s, women’s and mixed teams. A prize for the longest drive, for landing closest to the pin, a 50/50 competition and $30,000 in hole-in-one prizes.

In addition to the prizes that can be one on the green, there will also be a great selection of items up for bid in the silent auction.

This year will be a big one for this tournament, so far, there are 92 participants signed up, which far exceeds last year’s number of 54.

Last year, the tournament raised a little over $10,000 for Heart & Stroke and they are hoping that they can exceed that number this year.
