Rash of north end break-ins results in charges against men

CORNWALL, Ontario – A rash of break-ins in the north end of Cornwall that had police officers on the hunt for suspects has resulted in charges.

Police said Friday two men were arrested Thursday and charged with several offences for break-ins that took place throughout much of August.

Dylan Jarvis, 21, of Cornwall was charged with six counts of breach of probation and two counts of break and enter and possession of property obtained by crime.

Brandon Chenier, 19, of Dalkeith was charged with possession of property obtained by crime and breach of probation.

Both men had been arrested by Montreal police in that city on the strength of Cornwall warrants and local officers transported the men back to the Seaway City.

Jarvis was held for a bail hearing while Chenier was released to appear in court at a later date.
