AMYOTTE, Raymond - Raymond Amyotte passed away at Tsiionkwanonhsote Adult Care Facility in Akwesasne, Ontario on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at the age of 75 years. Dear son of the late Fleurette (Labelle) Amyotte and the late Anthime Amyotte. Dear brother of Roger Amyotte (Jeannine) of Ottawa, Robert Amyotte of Akwesasne and Rollande Brunet (Jean-Louis) of Cornwall. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Raymond played hockey for the New York Rangers Hockey Organization, until suffering an injury that caused him to retire. Following his retirement from the New York Rangers he played locally for the Cornwall Colts. Ray is also a retired member of The Knights of Columbus. LEFEBVRE, Gerald - Gerald "Gerry" Palma Lefebvre passed away peacefully at the Cornwall Hospice on Thursday, July 24, 2014, age 82 years, following a courageous battle with cancer. Survived by his wife of 61 years Shirley (Brown) Lefebvre, sons Gerry (Linda) and Robert (Joanne) and five grandchildren; Melissa, Crystal, Dylan, Robyn and Sarah, and brother-in-law Robert Liscomb. Predeceased by his father Palma Lefebvre, mother Dolores (Lacombe) Lefebvre, brother Ivan, and sisters Rejeanne Miller, Dolly Liscomb and Georgette Shea. Mr. Lefebvre was well-liked as the former proprietor of Cornwall City Press and Gerry's Kwik Print. Known as "Tiger," Gerry lived life to its fullest as a local motorcycle racer in the early 1950's. The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the Cornwall Community Hospital, the Ottawa Civic Hospital and the staff at the Cornwall Hospice for their compassion and care. Born in Bourget in 1917, where she created many happy childhood memories, she then moved to Cornwall where she raised her own family and touched all who knew her with her generosity, kindness and joie-de-vivre. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 69 years, René Rose.
