Lyle wished to leave his friends with these final thoughts; To those I love and those who loved me, When I am gone, release me let me go.... I have so many things to see and do, You must not tie yourself to me with tears, Be happy we had so many years. Now that I have come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me, I want no last rites in a gloom-filled room. Why cry for my soul when it has been set free? Miss me a little - but not too long, and not with your head bowed down low. Remember the love that we once shared Miss me - but let me go, for this is a journey we all must take...And each must go it alone, It's all part of the Master plan. For me, my journey will begin with being reunited with my wife Marg, My one and only forever true love. And together, wrapped in each others arms we will begin our dance into eternity "cheek to cheek". So grieve a while for me, for grieve you must, but then let your grief be comforted in the trust of knowing that I am now where I want to be. It's only for a while that we must part, so bless the memories that we have made in our hearts. I won't be far away, for life goes on; so if you need me call and i will come. Though you can't see me or touch me, I'll be near, and if you listen with your heart, you'll hear all of my love around you soft and clear. I thank you for the love you each have shown, but now it's time I travel this last step alone. And then, when you too, must come this way alone, Marg and I will greet you with a smile and say "Welcome Home "
