High speed weekend on Hwy 401

UNITED COUNTIES of SD&G, Ontario – On Dec. 8-9, 2017, SD&G Ontario Provincial Police officers conducted speed measuring enforcement on Highway 401 and County Road 34 and intercepted the following vehicles for traveling at excessive speeds. The vehicle were impounded and the driver’s permit seized for seven days in accordance to policy.

– December 8, 2017 – 7:47am (South Glengarry) vehicle stopped travelling 132km/h (80km/h zone). Male driver (20) from South Glengarry, Ontario was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

– December 8, 2017 – 10:09pm (South Stormont) vehicle stopped travelling 151km/hr(100km/h zone). Male (25) from Brampton, Ontario was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

– December 9, 2017 – 12:42pm (South Glengarry) vehicle stopped travelling 171km/hr(100km/h zone). Male (39) from Mississauga, Ontario was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

– December 9, 2017 – 8:16pm (North Glengarry) vehicle stopped travelling 134km/h (80km/h zone). Male driver (42) from Russell, Ontario was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).
