CORNWALL, Ontario – The annual MS Italian Night is coming up on Jan. 13. This annual event is hosted by the Cornwall Legion Branch 297 and is always a sellout success.
For over 15 years, the MS Society of Canada Cornwall and District Chapter has held the MS Italian Night as a thank you to the community for its support.
Volunteer office manager Karen Torrie-Racine said that the January 13 event is usually sold out.
“Its a fun gathering,” said Chapter Chair Claude Clement. “Its a way to thank people for supporting the MS Society. Everyone can get together and get rid of the winter blues.”
One major attraction of the event is the Kealy-Greer All Star Band which have made the MS Italian Night their only performance every year.
The Cornwall Legion Branch 297 is a strong supporter of the event and attendees usually fill every room of the Legion that night.
The Legion also provides food catered to all-tastes, including gluten free, vegetarian and regular Italian. In addition, the Legion has been a longtime corporate sponsor to the MS Society, which they strongly appreciate.
Any Italian meal, gluten free or not, would not be complete without the sauce, which is being provided by Casa Paolo.
Additional corporate sponsors of the event are Roy Perkins and Perkins Rona, the Cornwall City Press, Casa Paolo, and Scotiabank. Some Scotiabank employees also serve the meals on MS Italian Night.
There are 300 tickets available for the event at $25 a piece and will be going fast.
Tickets can be purchased at the Cornwall Legion, the MS Society and at Rona.
The event starts at 6 p.m. and runs until midnight. Bring your appetite.
