Neon Paintfest lit up Cornwall on May 26th at the Do What I Want Store at 156 Pitt Street. Hosted by store owner Sue-Anne Proulx, the event featured artists Pride Rosenkranz from Deadly Sinn Ink, known for her bold, tattoo-inspired colors, and Roberta Drover-Merpaw of Bella Morte Creations, a talented scenic painter.

Attendees enjoyed painting under black lights, revealing vibrant, glowing artwork. They could also shop at the store, which sells decorative skulls, crystals, incense, jewelry, and more. “We had paint nights on a smaller scale with friends last year. This is the first paint night open to the public,” saidRosenkranz. The challenge of painting under black light is thrilling.”

“These girls are awesome. I saw their artwork and knew they had to be a part of my business,” added Proulx. The next in a series of paint nights will be a guided session on June 1st, supporting Keep the Faith Rescue. The gathering will have a mystical three-eyed sphynx cat theme. Space is limited, so visit the Do What I Want store to book a spot.
