WINCHESTER, Ontario – Winchester District Memorial Hospital Foundation (WDMHF) was once again in great company as Shroomfest recently presented more than $45,450 to local charities.

About two dozen local charities benefited, including $3,000 for the WDMH Foundation’s Family Care Fund. Shroomfest is an annual men’s night out that has been making an incredible impact throughout our community for more than a decade.

“This is the 11th time that the WDMH Foundation has been chosen to receive funds from Shoomfest and we are very honoured,” noted Board Chair Tom Dawson, who was on hand to accept the donation.

At the presentation ceremony, Tom thanked the organizers, noting: “It is always a pleasure for the WDMH Foundation to be part of this presentation – partly because we are honoured to be one of the charities to benefit from Shroomfest, and partly because we are so in awe of what a dedicated group of men can do! Thank you once again for your generosity and for your commitment to local charities, and in turn, your local communities.”
