Cornwall, Ontario – The Sheepdogs, the renowned platinum and JUNO award-winning rockers, lit up Aultsville Theatre on March 27, 2024, as part of their Backyard Boogie Tour. Opening the show was Daniel Romano + His Outfit, setting the stage for what would become an unforgettable night.

Next, The Sheepdogs hit the stage. The atmosphere at Aultsville Theatre was electric, with fans clapping along and moving to the rhythm of the music. The event was an electrifying celebration of rock ‘n’ roll, with the band playing many of their hits, including “Feeling Good” and “Right On.” Also, the concert was a testament to The Sheepdogs’ commitment to bringing their live show to the heart of communities often overlooked by touring musicians.

Bassist Ryan Gullen shared his thoughts on the tour and playing in Cornwall: ” We’re in the business of playing music for people. Growing up in Saskatoon – we know all too well that often living in a smaller place, you find yourself travelling to bigger places to see concerts as they often pass you by. This was a big motivating factor for us in wanting to bring what we do directly to people’s backyards and play places like Aultsville Theatre. It’s been special how communities like Cornwall have embraced us and welcomed us in.”

Alycia Douglass, a music fan, and concert attendee expressed her excitement: “I’ve seen The Sheepdogs a handful of times over the course of their career, and I swear they get better every time. Seeing them in my hometown was a special experience. Their style has evolved a bit over the years, and I’m always jazzed to hear their influences come through in their new material.”

With The Sheepdogs latest studio release, Outta Sight, receiving international acclaim and a nomination for Rock Album of the Year at the 2023 JUNO Awards, the band has maintained a strong presence in the music scene.

The Lost Villages Brewery was on location, serving up some of their finest beers, adding to the festive vibe of the night. The show, booked by Spectrasonic, was an unforgettable night of rock ‘n’ roll magic. The Sheepdogs’ Backyard Boogie Tour continues to be a roaring success connecting with fans in smaller communities across Canada.
