CORNWALL, Ontario – There may be some cat-calling for these dog lovers.

The old adage don’t judge a book by its cover certainly doesn’t apply to the new fundraising calendar for the SDG branch of the OSPCA.

The 2015 “Man’s Best Friend” calendar features male models from Physical Limits Fitness Club posing shirtless with their canine companions.

Available at Physical Limits, the shelter (550 Boundary Road), and OSPCA fundraising events, the steamy calendars are on sale for $20 each.

“This calendar promotes healthy active living with your pets,” said Christina Russell, OSPCA fundraising committee member.

The local animal shelter partnered with Physical Limits and Jason McNamara from Framed Photography.

This is McNamara’s third time using his skills as a rising photog phenom to help abandoned animals find a home. And last time he worked with the OSPCA, his work resulted in several pets being adopted.

“After visiting the shelter to photograph some of the animals and seeing the dedicated staff and the amount of animals needing a home, I felt compelled to help anyway I could,” said McNamara.

All the models (and pooches) volunteered their time and the gym covered printing costs.

“Caring for animals is a great way to heal ourselves and the planet,” said Jason Christoff, owner of Physical Limits. “We could not resist given all of the models in the calender were also from the club.”
