Ride for Hospice raises $21,000

CORNWALL, Ontario – The Seaway Valley Riders presented a cheque to Sandy Collette, Fundraising Coordinator for Hospice Cornwall, for $21,000.

They raised the impressive sum through their second annual Ride for Hospice that took place on Saturday, Aug. 10.

The ride had 76 registrations this year, but also raised nearly $10,000 more than the inaugural ride.

Mayor Bernadette Clement was on hand for the cheque presentation and congratulation the Seaway Valley Riders on their efforts.

Mike Dagenais, one of the event’s organizers says that the club is already starting to plan for next year.
