MAYER – Mrs. Marie-Ange (née Pigeon)

Passed away at the Akwesasne Nursing Home in Akwesasne, Ontario on Wednesday, April 22, 2009, age 94 years, formerly of Cornwall, Ontario. Beloved wife of the late Hector Mayer. Dear mother of Bernard Mayer (Micheline) of St. Donat, Quebec, Yvon Mayer (Patricia) of Brockville, Denise Normandeau (late Maurice) of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Monique Boulerice (Marcel) of Moncton, New Brunswick, Jeanne Scott (Vincent) and Marie-Ange Legault (Dr. Raymond Legault) both of Cornwall. Dear sister of Eva Depratto (Edgar) and Isabel Parisien (late Gerald) both of Cornwall. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Dear daughter of the late Joseph Pigeon and the late Leila Fournier. Predeceased by five brothers, Gilbert, Aldema, Archille, Alcide and Eugene Pidgeon and one sister, Mrs. Alice O’Neil. Resting at the Boulerice Funeral Home Ltd., 218 Montreal Rd., Cornwall on Friday, April 24 from 2pm. The family will be in attendance on Friday, April 24 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. HENDERSON – Clarence “Buster”

Passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, April 21, 2009, age 84 years. Clarence Lloyd “Buster” Henderson of Avonmore, Ontario. Beloved husband of Eunice Henderson, née Young (Pletzer). Loved father of Laurie Pletzer of B.C., Bonnie Niederkorn (Martin) of Avonmore, Bruce (Robin) of Brockville, Bert (Sharon), Byron, all of Lunenburg, Bernie (Faye) of Kingston, Beth Lapierre (Dani) of Avonmore, Brenda Henderson-Brownlee (Garry) of Ingleside, Blair (Debbie) and Blake (Lorie) all of Avonmore. Dear brother of Verna Conroy (late Jack) of Lunenburg, Claude “Buffy” Henderson (Barbara) of Richmond Hill and Bonnie Henderson of Ottawa. Sadly missed by his 18 grandchildren, Maggie, Amanda, Elias, Ian (Erika), Janet, Jessica, Ashley, Amy, Emily, Jenie, Valerie, Hillary, Isaac, Jonas, Richard, Courtney, Brandon, Bailey and by four great-grandchildren, Madison, Ellie, Rhys and Cameron. Predeceased by his parents, Bert and Eva (Conliffe) Henderson, two brothers, Gilbert Henderson, Bertram Henderson, one sister June Henderson and by one grandson, Russell. Visitation will be held at the Brownlee Funeral Home, 18 Front St. Finch, on Friday, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A service in celebration of Buster Henderson’s life will be held in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Avonmore on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 11am. Reverend Mark Bourgon officiating. Interment will follow at St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery. BESNER – Honorius

Passed away at the Parisien Manor on Sunday, April 19, 2009. Mr. Honorius Louis Besner of Kemptville, formerly of Cornwall, age 94 years. Beloved husband of the late Germaine (Pitre) Besner. Dear father of Robert Besner (Diana) of Kemptville, Richard Besner (Denise) of Cornwall, Claude Besner of Yellowknife, NT, Daniel Besner (Gigi) and Bernie Besner, both of Cornwall and Micheline Piper (William) of Brantford. Predeceased by one daughter, Annette Duperron and by one son, Yvon Besner. Cherished grandfather of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dear son of the late Joseph Besner and the late Josephine (Menard) Besner. Predeceased by three brothers, Leonard, Zacharie and Adrien Besner and by five sisters, Marie-Ange Gravel, Irene Brunet, Bernadette Gelinas, Marie-Rose Mainville and Genevieve Mayer.
