POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE, BREACH

 CORNWALL, Ontario – Sydney Taylor-Lauzon, 19, of Lancaster was arrested on June 5, 2019 and charged with possession of methamphetamine and breach of recognizance for possessing drugs. It is alleged while investigating an unrelated matter on June 5, 2019, police located the woman in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing.

POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE, BREACH

CORNWALL, Ontario – A 14-year-old St. Andrew’s West youth was arrested on June 5, 2019 and charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, as well as breach of undertaking for failing to abide by house rules and for possessing a weapon. It is alleged on June 5, 2019, while at his mother’s residence, the youth became upset and took out a knife, despite his conditions. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

WARRANT

 CORNWALL, Ontario– Michael Denneny, 39, of Cornwall was arrested on June 5, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on June 4, 2019 for a drug offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On June 5, 2019 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

THEFT UNDER $5,000

CORNWALL, Ontario – Brenan Johnston, 22, of Cornwall was arrested on June 5, 2019 and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on May 26, 2019 the man took a cell phone without permission from someone known to him and police were contacted to investigate. On June 5, 2019, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court at a later date.
