On April 11, 2023, Cornwall Community Hospital (CCH) identified a network issue, which an investigation revealed to be a cyber incident. The hospital retained external cyber experts, who are working with our technical team to resolve the issue.

CCH has informed its regional stakeholders, including law enforcement and the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario. We will continue to provide updates as the investigation and resolution progresses.

While our investigation continues, we are learning more about the complexity of the incident. Delivering exceptional patient-centered care is the hospital’s top priority and CCH continues to provide high-quality clinical services. However, this is an evolving situation and residents may experience some delays to scheduled and non-urgent care.

Ongoing network issues due to the cyber incident are also impacting user access to MyChart.

CCH regrets the inconvenience this may cause patients and families, and thanks everyone for their patience and cooperation during this time.
