Cornwall, Ontario – Dollhouse Lashez celebrated Mother’s Day with a market at 404 Montreal Rd on May 11, featuring artists, vendors, and beauty services. The event was a last-minute shopping haven for gifts andpampering dedicated to mothers and mother figures.

Local artist Jade Thompson showcased their nature-themed acrylic paintings and offered live caricatures and portraits. Jade explained, “I’ve brought four unique acrylics on pine panel paintings featuring a nature theme, but I also wanted to make family connotations for Mother’s Day. I have ferns, ivy, lilacs, and the daisies sold. I’m also doing caricatures on the spot and portrait drawings today.”

Saf Alakoozai, the owner of Dollhouse Lashez, said, “I’m hosting the Mother’s Day market today with Kayla of Peace Machine Tattoo. Mother’s Day means something very important to me and my business. I wasgrateful that my mom let me use her basement when I started. Going from there, she helped me with the shop and the renovations.”

“The reason I host these events is not only for the community and the clients but for the other businesses. I know how hard it may be, especially if you’re starting a new business and not having a network orcommunity to work with. I love doing these events, bringing the community together, and helping other businesses,” Alakoozai added.
