CORNWALL, Ontario – This year marks the 15th annual, widely anticipated Garden Party for Dr. Rachel Navaneelan’s House of Hope, taking place on Saturday, June 8 from noon to 5 p.m.

“This organization is about helping the children,” stated Dr. Navaneelan. “It’s mostly in this community but outside we would like to help any child we can, in any way we can. That’s what it is all about.”

Tickets to the event are $75 per person and over 500 guests are expected again this year at the Cornwall Golf and Country Club. Tickets can be purchased at Rachel’s Kids or Dr. Navaneelan & Associates Cosmetic & Family Dentistry.

This year’s Co-Chair is none other than 10-year-old Oakley Ingram of Cornwall. Ingram has received assistance from Rachel’s Kids House of Hope as he was diagnosed with type one diabetes at the age of seven.

“Oakley is a Rachel’s Kids recipient,” said Kim Lauzon, Rachel’s Kids Executive Director. “We always look to have a family come and speak about how Rachel’s Kids has impacted their life, ant this year we are excited to have Oakley tell his story.

A number of silent and live auction items have already been planned for the event but will remain under wraps, to be unveiled with a number of other surprises during the event.
