CORNWALL, Ontario – The Kinettes of Cornwall organized a Mother’s Day Craft Show and High Tea at the Cornwall Civic Complex on Sunday, May 5, 2019.

“We wanted to do something fun and a little different,” said Suzanne Biro, a Kinette and one of the event’s organizers. “We wanted to celebrate the strong women in our lives and do something fun for the family. We tried to gear it towards things mom will like so they can buy something special for her for Mother’s Day next weekend.”

This is the first ever Mother’s Day Craft Show and High Tea organized by the Kinettes and they hope to do it again next year.

There were over 50 vendors selling gifts for moms and the Kinettes hoped to raise over $1,000 from the event.

The Kinettes support organizations and families throughout the community, so all of the money raised will stay in the Cornwall area.

Tea was provided by the Kinettes in a wide variety of flavours and food was provided by Debbie Burns and the Bathworks from Finch.
