ARRESTS MADE AS A RESULT OF SEARCH WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – On the morning of May 14, 2024, the Cornwall Police Service’s Street Crime Unit (SCU) and Cornwall Emergency Response Team (CERT) along with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Biker Enforcement Unit (BEU) and Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) Detector Dog Services conducted a search warrant in the 100-block of Montreal Road.

As a result of the investigation, Dale Senecal, 42, and Jessica Carriere, 37, both of Cornwall, were arrested and charged with the following:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Unauthorized possession of weapon
  • Possession property obtained by crime under $5,000

The individuals were located, taken into custody and charged accordingly.

FAIL TO COMPLY, ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on May 22, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and two counts of assault. It is alleged on May 22, 2024, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the woman assaulted her mother. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 27, 2024. Her name was not released to protect the identify of the victim.

 

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Tania, 19, of Cornwall, was arrested on May 22, 2024, and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on May 22, 2024, the woman attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on July 2, 2024.

 

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Andrea Bedard, 44, of Cornwall, was arrested on May 22, 2024, and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on March 15, 2024, the woman attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On May 22, 2024, while police were dealing with a separate matter, the woman was located. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 2, 2024.

 

DOMESTIC ASSAULT 

Cornwall, ON – A 22-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on May 22, 2024, and charged with domestic assault. It is alleged on May 22, 2024, the woman assaulted her boyfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. She was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 11, 2024. The woman’s name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.
