CORNWALL & SDG, Ontario – At 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, Environment Canada was tracking a line of severe thunderstorms that could produce very strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain in the following areas:
- Cornwall – Lancaster
- Maxville – Alexandria
- Morrisburg – Long Sault
- Winchester – Newington
The long line of thunderstorms extends from North of Napanee to Hawkesbury and is moving East at 50 km/h according to Environment Canada. Strong wind gusts up to 100 km/h are reportedly possible, and this squall line also has the potential to produce isolated brief tornadoes.
