Cornwall, Ontario – The Cornwall Motor Speedway Mall Show, held from April 26-28, 2024, at Cornwall Square, drew spectators and offered a unique up-close experience with 17 racing vehicles, including cars and karts. The event featured an autograph session on Saturday afternoon, where fans gathered signatures from their favorite drivers and snagged the latest 2024 racing schedule.
Frank Sauve, who had overseen the security at Cornwall Motor Speedway for over three decades, shared his enthusiasm for the sport, “I enjoy the speed of the cars, the competition, the drivers, and the skills they have today. They have upgraded these cars so much over the years since I started. It’s a fantastic show they put on every race night.”
Adding to the excitement, former announcer George Harland, who voiced races from 1977 to 1983, observed the joy of young fans. “The kids are pretty excited about seeing all these cars here. They ask me questions, and if I can answer it, I will gladly give them the answer. Like myself, they like the noise,” Harland noted. He also expressedanticipation for upcoming race season, “I’m looking forward to some of the big shows coming up.”
