Cornwall, Ontario – The Knox-St Paul United Church in Cornwall bustled with excitement at the Hop into Spring Craft and Art Show on March 16, 2024. The event showcased the diverse talents of local small businesses and cottage industries. Board Chair Carolyn Ruda expressed her enthusiasm about the event. “There is so much activity, colour, and variety. It’s a way to help people promote their businesses. We have an artist and author here as well,” she added.

Among the participants was Ginette Guy Mayer, a local author. “I’m here to talk about my book and do some sales. It’s a great opportunity to meet a lot of people,” Mayer shared. Her works include a fictional historical mystery, A Peculiar Case from the files of Elizabeth Grant, set in 1930s Cornwall. Local artisans and entrepreneurs showcased their talents and connected with the community.
