Covid-19 has had a profound impact on our community. The frontline service providers, essential service workers and all other unsung Heroes, as well as our food banks and mental health services have been severely impacted.

The Rotary Club of Cornwall Sunrise, in partnership with Canadian Tire (Cornwall), is launching their Yellow Light Project on Monday, July 5, 2021 at 10:30 am at the Canadian Tire Garden Center entrance, 201 Ninth Street East.

The Yellow Light Project is twofold. It is intended to give everyone an opportunity to acknowledge and thank all our community service providers for everything they have done and are continuing to do for our community. It’s aim is to also provide financial support to our local food banks and mental health services.

The Rotary Club of Cornwall Sunrise thanks Canadian Tire (Cornwall) for donating these lightbulbs and invites you to show your support to our community Heroes by donating $5 to purchase one. All funds go entirely to assist our foodbanks and mental health services. We request that you let this light shine outside your home anytime after July 5th and that you let it shine every night.

Lightbulbs have a barcode and may be purchased via Canadian Tire, 201 Ninth Street East, Cornwall checkout services. All proceeds will be given to the Rotary Club of Cornwall Sunrise for distribution to the beneficiaries.

Proceeds from this project will be presented to the beneficiaries on August 3rd (details re time and location to follow).
