CORNWALL, Ontario – The Cornwall Police Association (CPA) is resurrecting a tradition from over 20 years ago, this September, with the glitz and glamour of Tinseltown.

If you’re a fan of the silver screen’s golden era, mark your calendar for the CPA Policeman’s Ball on Saturday, September 20, at the Cornwall Civic Complex.

For $175 a ticket, guests will enjoy ‘A Night in Hollywood‘ which includes being serenaded by a swanky band, eating a delicious four-course meal, and having a chance to win big at a charity casino.

The CPA Policeman’s Ball Committee has been hard at work for the past 12 months to prepare for this black tie event in support of Hospice Cornwall and The Max Keeping Foundation.

The red carpet rolls out at 6 p.m.

There will be entertainment throughout the hospitality hour and each ticketholder will receive a complimentary signature cocktail.

The ballroom doors open at 7 p.m. to unveil the spectacular evening that awaits every guest, as decorated by Sage Designs (Decorator of the Year – Ottawa).

David MacLean, CPA president and committee chair, says guests will be blown away by an amazing meal prepared by Cuisine Volante.

After dinner and dessert, The Fifth Avenue Band will be heating up the dance floor, as guests try their hand at a variety of casino games.

The Ottawa outfit (www.fifthaveband.com) is made up of Robin Moir, a veteran entertainer and Juno Award nominee, Alex Ryder, an award-winning singer and champion athlete, Joe Turner, a talented musician and music producer, and youthful newcomers to the Canadian music scene, singer/songwriters Braiden Turner and Brea Lawrenson.

Throughout the evening, guests can purchase ‘Hollywood Stars’ in order to win amazing prizes that will be drawn during the event.

Every ticket purchasing guest will also be automatically entered into a draw for a $2,000 vacation getaway, provided by Barb’s Travel, which will be drawn at midnight.

The hosts for this spectacular event will be Jimmy and Sue from the Variety 104 Morning Show.

Tickets are available at the Scotiabank Brookdale location in Cornwall beginning Monday, July 7. MacLean advises interested parties to act fast since tickets are limited.
