CORNWALL, Ontario – SD&G OPP have ruled out foul play after the discovery of a man’s body.

Officers were called to the intersection of County Road 2 and Avonmore Road about 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22 after they received a tip that a truck linked to a missing person case was in the area.

SD&G OPP Const. Joel Doiron said officers were at the scene until the early evening as they searched for the man. Cornwall Community Police Service members arrived once the body was identified.

The man’s identity has yet to be revealed by either police service, but a CCPS source has confirmed that the deceased body found in a wooded area was not Robert J. Seguin – a 67-year-old Cornwall man missing since Oct. 3.
