CORNWALL, Ontario – Stolen e-bikes, a canned beverage used as weapon and a city man busted for shoplifting junk food highlight today’s Cornwall police blotter update.

Dude, where are my e-bikes?!

A city woman was charged with two counts of theft under $5000 and two counts of breach of probation on July 3.

The 51-year-old Cornwallite is accused of taking two e-bikes from a local business between April 20 and April 30.

Police were contacted and an investigation was conducted.

Lori McConkey was arrested and released to appear in court on July 24.

An apple a day keeps the cops away

A 28-year-old Cornwall man learned the hard way that eating healthy really pays off.

City cops arrested Kyle Shaver on July 3. He was charged with possession of stolen property.

Police said they found him with several bags of chips and snack products taken from a local business on June 23.

He was released to appear in court on August 7.

Getting canned!

A confrontation between a 42-year-old Cornwall man and his estranged common-law girlfriend ended in handcuffs on July 3.

Police said that two engaged in a verbal argument outside of a Pitt Street business, when he grabbed a canned beverage from her hand and launched it at her shoulder.

The woman did not suffer any injury as a result of the assault.

City cops were contacted and an investigation was conducted.

The man was charged with domestic assault with a weapon.

He was released to appear in court on August 12.

His name is not being released in order to protect the identity of the victim.
