CORNWALL, Ontario – Marc Campeau, 45, of Cornwall was arrested on Aug. 9, 2018 and charged with the following:
- Fraud under $5,000 x 2
- Mischief under $5,000
- Theft under $5,000 x 3
- Breach of probation x 5 (for failing to keep the peace)
It is alleged on July 8, 2018, the man smashed a vehicle window and removed a wallet that did not belong to him. The man also allegedly took a purse that did not belong to him from a vehicle on July 10, 2018 and while in a store on July 25, 2018. Further, on July 30, 2018 and Aug. 1, 2018, the man attended a Ninth St. business and allegedly attempted to fraudulently return merchandise that had not been paid for. On Aug. 9, 2018, police located the man. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
