CORNWALL, Ontario – Enviornment Canada has issued a Heat Warning for Cornwall and the surrounding area.
“Daytime temperatures in the low to mid thirties with afternoon humidex values of 40 or higher and night time minimum temperatures in the low to mid twenties are expected for Friday and Saturday,” the Warning from Environment Canada reads.
Temperatures are expected to break on Sunday as a cooler air mass moves in.
According to The Weather Network temperatures on Friday will be as high as 41 degrees with a risk of thunderstorms throughout the day.
The coolest it is expected to get over the next two days is 28 degrees on Friday night. Saturday, temperatures are forecasted to be as high 42 with the humidity.
