CORNWALL, Ontario – KIA of Cornwall has built its reputation on years of adapting with the changing face of today’s car buyer.
Now it is taking those fundamentals and offering more branding online, to help propel its sales into the future.
Peter Galna, sales manager at KIA of Cornwall, said in an interview the dealership makes it a point to engage vehicle buyers and sellers in any medium they feel comfortable with – including online.
“The Internet has certainly changed the way people buy cars,” he said, adding customers are now willing to travel farther distances if they know a product is solid and affordably priced. “People really narrow down their choices now. People are more knowledgeable and the decision-making period is shorter.”
Galna said he’s had customers come from as far away as Thunder Bay and Windsor to purchase a vehicle in Cornwall.
Galna said “transparency” is key for customers.
“If someone is coming from a long way away, I want them to know everything there is about the vehicle they are purchasing, so there are no surprises,” he said. “I don’t like surprises, and I know my customers don’t like them either.”
KIA of Cornwall has been operating in the city for about eight years. It employs 23 full- and part-time people and includes a full roster of new and pre-owned vehicles.
It is located on Rosemount Avenue and can be found online here.
