Cornwall police ask for assistance in purse snatching case

CORNWALL, Ontario – The Cornwall Community Police Service Investigation Division is currently investigating a purse snatching and is asking the public to come forward if they have any information about this crime.

At approximately 7:15 p.m. on Dec. 7, 2017 while walking towards the RBC Bank at the East Court Mall a lady had her purse taken from her grip by a male described as young, 5’9”, slim build wearing a dark hoodie and jeans. The man then fled towards the Kentucky Fried Chicken with the purse.

Police are asking anyone who might have any information about this crime to contact Cst. Whitehorne at (613)933-5000 ext.2784 or ext.2404 to leave anonymous information. Together we can make Cornwall a safer place for all to enjoy!
