Cornwall man arrested for animal cruelty

CORNWALL, Ontario – Tyrone Lamoureux, 31, of Cornwall was arrested May 12, 2018 and charged with injuring an animal.

It is alleged on May 11, 2018 the man choked his dog and police were contacted to investigate. On May 12, 2018 the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 19, 2018.

ASSAULT

CORNWALL, Ontario – A 24-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 13, 2018 and charged with assault. It is alleged on May 13, 2018 the man assaulted his girlfriend and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

FLIGHT FROM POLICE, MISCHIEF UNDER $5,000

CORNWALL, Ontario – Christopher Reid, 35, of Nepean was arrested on May 13, 2018 and charged with flight from police and mischief under $5,000. It is alleged while driving a vehicle on May 13, 2018 the man failed to stop for police in the area of Brookdale Ave. and Second St. W. He was later located by police and was taken into custody. While in custody, the man damaged a locker before attending the cell area. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

THEFT UNDER $5,000

CORNWALL, Ontario – Fowler Thompson, 32, of Lunenburg was arrested on May 11, 2018 and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on May 8, 2018 the man entered a Water St. store and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. It is further alleged on May 10, 2018 the man entered a Pitt St. store and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.  On May 11, 2018 he was located by police, was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
