CORNWALL, Ontario – There’s a new fire chief in Lancaster.
Vic Leroux, a former firefighter and chief with the City of Cornwall, assumed his new role as full-time South Glengarry fire chief this week.
Leroux replaces outgoing chief Harold Harvey.
“We are pleased to have Vic join our team,” said acting CAO/clerk Marilyn Lebrun, “He will make a welcome addition to fire services in the Township of South Glengarry.”
Leroux was also the fire co-ordinator of the SD&G Mutual Fire Aid Association for five years.
He has been a resident of South Glengarry for more than 20 years.
“We are confident that his knowledge in fire services and years of experience will be of great value to our Fire Services department,” said Deputy-Mayor Bill McKenzie.
