BURROWS, Robert – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved uncle Bob on Friday, October 26, 2012, age 72 years. Bob was the only son to the late Charles and Eileen (Inglis) Burrows. Born on June 25, 1940 and at the time, the doctors predicted that he would not live past the age of 20 years and recommended he be institutionalized. Bob’s mom & dad would hear none of that and lovingly raised him at home with them until they passed away. The responsibility was then taken over by his oldest sister Helen André. Due to her own health problems, she couldn’t take care of him anymore and so began the wonderful life Bob enjoyed at Parisien Manor. Bobby had a heart of gold and was loved by all. He brought a smile to everyone he ever met. His warm and sunny disposition, his teasing and joking will be missed by all. Words cannot express the gratitude the family has for the tender loving care given to Bob by every single staff member at Parisien Manor. He leaves to mourn his many nieces and nephews, Michael André, Sue VanLoenen, Kathy Bray, Jackie André, Raymond André and Donna Lapierre, all of Cornwall and Don Brady of Orillia, Ont. Bob is predeceased by his parents and his three sisters Helen André, Dorcus Wood and Grace Brady. Cremation has taken place and a Private Graveside Service will be held in Orillia, where Bob will be laid to rest with his parents. If so desired, Memorial Contributions to Parisien Manor Residents Dream Fund or the Residents Christmas Fund would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements entrusted to WILSON FUNERAL HOME, 822 Pitt St., Cornwall. Online messages of condolence may be made in the obituary section of: www.wilsonfuneralhome.ca
