Cornwall, ON – A 37-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on the 10th of September, 2013 then charged with 13 counts of breach of Undertaking for having communicated with her ex-boyfriend and failing to keep the peace. As a result she was also charged with Criminal Harassment. It is alleged that between the 21st of August, 2013 and the 8th of September, 2013 the woman communicated with her ex-boyfriend on several occasions despite being on conditions not to communicate with him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On the 10th of September, 2013 during their investigation the woman was located by police at a Pitt Street address, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.

Cornwall, ON – A 41-year-old Hemingford, Quebec man was arrested on the 10th of September, 2013 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that on the 20th of August, 2013 the man threatened to run over his 45-year-old wife from Cornwall with his truck. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation police requested a warrant for the man who was out of province. On the 10th of September, 2013 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. Cornwall, ON – Daniel Seguin, 55 of Cornwall was arrested don the 10th of September, 2013 then charged with breach of a Recognizance for having consumed alcohol. He was also charged with breach of a Probation Order for having consumed alcohol and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on the 10th of September, 2013 police attended a Park Street residence in relation to an unwanted man. On arrival police observed the unwanted man to be intoxicated and took him into custody. The man was charged accordingly then transported to police headquarters to await a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – Gail Walker, 57of Cornwall was arrested on the 10th of September, 2013 then charged with Theft Under $5000 and breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on the 9th of September, 2013 the woman attended a Cornwall Square store and concealed lottery tickets then left the store without making attempts to pay for them. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the woman was identified and police attended her residence in order to speak with her, however the woman was not present. Cornwall, ON – A 22-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 9th of September, 2013 then charged with three counts of Threats to Person, two counts of Threats to Property and also charged with breaching his probation order for not keeping the peace. It is alleged that on the 6th of September, 2013 the man approached his 20-year-old ex-girlfriend while in the area of Ninth Street and Pitt Street and demanded visitation to their child. An argument then ensued at which point he made threats to her and the two friends that were accompanying her, the man also made threats to damage their property. Police were later called and began an investigation. During their investigation on the 9th of September, 2013 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. Cornwall, ON – A 24-year-old Akwesasne man was arrested on the 9th of September, 2013 and charged with Mischief Under $5000. It is alleged that on the 16th of July, 2013 the man was involved in an argument with his 24-year-old ex-girlfriend and threw her cellular phone causing it to break. Police attended the Carleton Street address in relation to a Domestic Dispute and an investigation ensued. Police spoke with the woman, however were unable to speak with the man at this time. On the 9th of September.2013 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter as he learned police were wishing to speak with him. Cornwall, ON – A 42-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 9th of September, 2013 and charged with Assault. It is alleged that on the 9th of September, 2013 the man and his 40-year-old common law wife were involved in a verbal argument when he grabbed her by the wrist and shoved her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the man was taken into custody and charged accordingly. Cornwall, ON – Calsey Bigtree-Thompson, 22 of St-Regis was arrested on the 6th of September, 2013 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that the woman failed to attend court on the 3rd of September, 2013 and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On the 6th of September the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody and held for a bail hearing.
Cornwall, ON – Oliver McTaggart, 29 of Cornwall was arrested on the 6th of September, 2013 on the strength of a warrant for having breached a Conditional Sentence. On the 6th of September, 2013 the man who was known to be wanted was spotted by a member of the Cornwall Community Police in the area of Montreal Road at Lawrence Street. The man ran from that officer and was then spotted by police in the area of Marlborough Street and First Street. The man once again ran from police, however was later found to be hiding in a storage unit in the area. He was taken into custody and transported to police headquarters where he was held for a bail hearing.
Cornwall, ON – John Sabourin, 39 of Ottawa was arrested on the 7th of September, 2013 on the strength of a warrant. On the 7th of September, 2013 Cornwall Police attended the Ottawa Police headquarters and assumed custody of the man who was being held by Ottawa on unrelated matters. It is alleged that the man fail to attend court on the 4th of October, 2011 and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Police transported the man to Cornwall Community Police headquarters and later released him with a future court date.
ATTEMPT THEFT
Cornwall, ON – Kyle Delorme, 20 of Cornwall was arrested on the 7th of September, 2013 and charged with Attempt Theft. It is alleged that on the 7th of September, 2013 the man was spotted by an off duty police officer attempting to unlock a bicycle that did not belong to him at Summit Health Fitness. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly then transported to police headquarters by a uniformed officer and later released with a future court date.

Cornwall, ON – Kimberly Laird, 32 of Cornwall was arrested on the 7th of September, 2013 and charged with breach of a recognizance for not residing at a specified address and to abide by the rules of that residence. The woman was also charged with breaching a Probation order for not keeping the peace. It is alleged that on the 2nd of September, 2013 the woman left the address where she was to reside and had not returned since. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation police located the woman at a Gloucester address, took her into custody and charged her accordingly. She was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
Cornwall, ON – An 18-year-old St-Regis man was arrested on the 8th of September, 2013 and charged with breaching his recognizance for not abiding a curfew, having consumed alcohol and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of the 8th of September, 2013 police were called to a disturbance at the St. Lawrence College. On police arrival the man ran from police and was later located. Police took the man who had an odor of alcohol into custody and charged him accordingly. Cornwall, ON- Crystal Benedict, 29 of Cornwall was arrested on the 5th of September, 2013 and charged with Fraud Under $5000. It is alleged the woman failed to declare changes in her living arrangements to the Ontario Works Resource Center between April, 2010 and September, 2010 which resulted in an overpayment of $4310.00. On the 5th of September, 2013 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody and later released with a court date of the 20th of September, 2013.

Cornwall, ON – Alexander Lemont, 19 of Cornwall was arrested on the 5th of September, 2013 and charged with breach of an Undertaking for having failed to notify change of address, not abiding by a curfew, consuming alcohol and failing to keep the peace. He was also charged with breach of a Probation order for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that in the early hours of the 31st of August, 2013 police were contacted to attend the area of Third Street and Marlborough Street in relation to a disturbance. While police were conducting an investigation they interviewed the man in relation to the matter. Police detected an odor of alcohol from the man and decided to re-interview the man at a later time. Investigation revealed the man interviewed was bound by conditions and police attended his last known address to find that the man had moved without any notification. On the 5th of September, 2013 the man who had learned that police were looking for him attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – Marc Pharand, 22 of Williamsburg, ON. was arrested on the 5th of September, 2013 then charged with Drive While Disqualified along with breach of Probation and Undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on the 5th of September, 2013 the man was driving a motor vehicle in the area of Eighth Street and Sydney Street when he was stopped by a police officer on routine patrol. Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 3rd of September, 2013 and charged with breaching a Recognizance for not abiding by a curfew. It is alleged that the youth left his residence on the 2nd of September, 2013 and did not return within the set curfew. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the youth returned home and police re-attended, took the youth into custody and charged him accordingly. Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 4th of September, 2013 then charged with breaching a Youth Probation Order by not abiding house rules and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on the 3rd of September, 2013 the youth left his place of residence through a bathroom window breaching curfew. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation in the early morning hours of the 4th of September, 2013 a member of the Cornwall Community Police spotted the youth in the area of the Wing Hing on Second Street. The youth was taken into custody and charged accordingly. The youth was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing. Cornwall, ON –An 18-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 4th of September, 2013 and charged with breaching a Recognizance and a Youth Probation order for being out past curfew. He was also charged with breaching his Youth Probation order for associating with persons known to have a criminal record and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on the 3rd of September, 2013 police attended a Second Street address for an unrelated matter and located the man who was out past curfew and in the company of persons known to have a criminal record. The man was taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing. Cornwall, ON- Paul Grant, 28 of Cornwall was arrested on the 3rd of September, 2013 then charged with Transportation Fraud and breach of three separate releases for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that the man took a taxi from his residence to a Pitt Street address then to the hospital, however had no money to pay for the fare. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the man was taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was transported to police headquarters and later released with a court date.
POSSESSION AND POSSESSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRAFFICKING
Cornwall, ON – Donald Delormier, 24 of Akwesasne and Dai Huynh, 28 of Cornwall were arrested on the 3rd of September, 2013 then charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of a Controlled Substance. It is alleged that on the 3rd of September, 2013 the two men attempted to pass through the port of entry with over 225 grams of Marijuana. The men were stopped by custom officials and police were contacted. During the police investigation the two men were taken into custody and charged accordingly. They were transported to police headquarters and later released with a court date of the 10th of October, 2013. The estimated street value of the controlled substance was approximately $1575.00.
ASSAULT, THREATS, SEXUAL ASSAULT, RESIST ARREST AND ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON
Cornwall, ON – Pierre Legault, 45 of Cornwall was arrested on the 31st of August, 2013 and charged with Assault, Assault with a Weapon, Sexual Assault, Threats, and Resist Arrest. It is alleged that on the 31st of August, 2013 police were on routine patrol in the area of First Street and heard a disturbance at a residence. Upon investigating the disturbance their lives were threatened by the man. Further investigation revealed that prior to police arrival a 16-year-old female who was walking by the residence was grabbed by the arm, touched inappropriately and threatened by the same man. Moments later the 16-year-old re-attended the address with friends to confront the man at which point the man threatened a 22-year-old man all the while holding a knife. The man resisted police as they took him into custody and he was later charged accordingly. He was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – Christopher Clayton, 28 of Cornwall was arrested on the 31st of August, 2013 and charged with breaching his Probation Order for having consumed alcohol and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on the 31st of August, 2013 police received a call to investigate a disturbance at a Hillcrest residence. During their investigation it was learned that the man had been involved in an altercation with a 35-year-old man and left the residence prior to police arrival. Police searched the immediate area, located the intoxicated man, took him into custody and charged him accordingly. The man was then transported to police headquarters and later released with a court date of the 24th of September, 2013.

It is alleged that on the 24th of August, 2013 the man failed to report to Cornwall Community Police and an investigation ensued. On the 31st of August, 2013 during their investigation the man attended police headquarters to report, he was subsequently taken into custody and charged accordingly. Cornwall, ON – Daniel Seguin, 55 of Cornwall was arrested on the 31st of August, 2013 and charged with Harassing Telephone Calls and breach of an Undertaking and Probation order for failing to keep the peace and for having consumed alcohol. It is alleged that on the 31st of August, 2013 the man made several calls to his ex-employer and continued to do so after police had warned him not to. Cornwall, ON – Jean Dube, 25 of Montreal was arrested on the 2nd of September, 2013 and charged with Possession of Break In Instruments and breach of a Probation order for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on the 2nd 0f September, 2013 police were contacted to attended the Canada Border Agency, Cornwall Port as they had the man detained for being in possession of Break In Instruments. An investigation ensued and during the investigation the man was taken into custody and charged accordingly. TRESPASS AT NIGHT, DISGUISE WITH INTENT, POSSESSION OF BREAK IN INSTRUMENTS
Cornwall, ON – Ryan Blanchette, 23, Stephane Blanchette, 18 and Bryan Rolfe-Quesnel, 20 all of Alexandria were arrested on the 3rd of September, 2013 and charged with Trespass at Night, Disguise with intent and Possession of Break In Tools. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of the 3rd of September, 2013 the three men were seen entering Amelia Street back yards all the while hiding their identities with dark clothing. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation police located the three males wearing back packs in a back yard of an Amelia Street address. The men were taken into custody and charged accordingly. They were transported to police headquarters and later released with a future court date.

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 3rd of September, 2013 and charged with Theft Under $5000 and breach of an Undertaking for being out past curfew and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on the 3rd of September, 2013 the youth was seen riffling through parked vehicles on Second Street. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation they located the youth hiding in the area and it was learned the youth took a flashlight from one of the vehicles. The youth into custody and charged accordingly. The youth was then transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing. The youths’ name was not released as per provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
