CORNWALL, Ontario – Cornwall police have laid charges following a disgusting attack on Danis street, where it’s alleged an attacker actually had sex with his female victim outside a home.

A 53-year-old Cornwall woman was sexually assaulted on Nov. 6 shortly after 9 p.m., police say.

It’s alleged Denis Labelle, 38, Cornwall, attended a Danis Street address and had unconsented intercourse with a 53-year-old woman while outside the residence.

On Nov. 13, police located the man at his home, took him into custody and charged him with sexual assault. The man was then held for a bail hearing.

In other police news, a case that plays out like a teenage Mafioso flick landed a Cornwall youth in deep trouble.

Police allege Bryan Joubert, 19, made arrangements to have a 17-year-old beat up for cash.

On Nov. 12, the teen allegedly attempted to hire two youths to carry out the job. The police were contacted and the planned beating for hire was foiled.

During their investigation, police arrested the teen at his residence and took him into custody. He was charged with conspiracy to commit assault and breach of undertaking – for communicating indirectly with someone he is not allowed to and failing to keep the peace. He was then held for a bail hearing.
