“Rain is forecast to begin this evening and continue through Thursday. Rainfall amounts of 40 to 60 mm are likely by the time the rain tapers off Thursday evening,” reads an Environment Canada Weather Warning. “Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.”

According to The Weather Network rain is supposed to begin falling in Cornwall around 5 p.m. on Wednesday and continue straight through until early Friday morning.
