Suspects sought in Winchester LCBO break-in

WINCHESTER, Ontario – On April 2, 2018 at approximately 1:21 a.m., Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a break-in at a business (LCBO) on Winchester Main Street, North Dundas Township.

Investigation indicated that culprit(s) entered the business and removed alcohol (multiple bottles of vodka and rum). Two suspects were captured on video(photo attached) and are described as:

Suspect 1 – Male, Red hoodie under a black jacket and wearing gloves

Suspect 2 – male, Navy blue winter jacket with a white stripe across the chest area, and white writing on the arm and wearing Blue gloves.

 

FRAUD CHARGES LAID

SOUTH STORMONT, Ontario – On April 2, 2018 at approximately 10:22pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a male breaching his release conditions in South Stormont Township.

Investigation indicated that a male had used false cheques in order to obtain funds and was breaching previous release conditions.

Christopher SABOURIN (26) of South Stormont is charged with;

– Use, deals, acts on forged document

– Fraud under $5000

– Fail to Comply with Recognizance 

He was held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

 

PUBLIC MISCHIEF

MORRISBURG, Ontario – On April 4, 2018 at approximately 4:30pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of an emergency at a business on Main Street Street in the Town of Morrisburg, South Dundas Township. Investigation revealed that a young male had falsely called 9-1-1 several times at the location.

A 13-year-old male of South Dundas Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Public Mischief (3 counts)

He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on May 10, 2018.
