BOILEAU – Marlene

Passed away at the Ottawa Hospital, General Campus on Sunday, March 8, 2009. Marlene (Meyer) Boileau of Cornwall, Ontario, age 46 years. Beloved wife of Richard Boileau. Dear daughter of Mrs. Meyer and the late Mr. Meyer. Dear sister of Michael Meyer (Joanne) of Washington, Ingrid Meyer and Gayle Walters (Howard) both of Cornwall. Dear Godmother of Samantha Lalonde and Brandon Walters. Marlene will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Resting at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch, from 7 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral Wednesday, March 11, 2009 for Service in the Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home at 2 p.m., followed by cremation. The family will be in attendance from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from noon until time of Funeral on Wednesday. CARDINAL – Jean-Claude

Passed away at the Cornwall Community Hospital in the presence of those who loved and cared for him on Sunday, March 8, 2009, age 69 years. Beloved companion of Hazel Craig. Dear father of Richard (Donna) of Toronto, Ontario and Robert (Nathaly) of Glen Walter, Ontario. Dear brother of Claudette (Mrs. Luc Larochelle) of St. Bruno, Quebec, Nicole (Mrs. Andre Preville) of Chertsey, Quebec and Carole Cardinal of Vancouver, B.C. Dear grandfather of four grandchildren, Blake, Brock, Jordan and Joshua. Also survived by nephews, Dany (Chantale), Carole Jr., Amy (Luc) and Jody, grand-nephews, Laïc and Justin; and friends, Claude, Pierre, Gisele, Lise, Irma, Kate, Cheryl and Lynn. Dear son of the late Rheal Cardinal and the late Juliette Lacombe. Predeceased by one sister, Lise Cardinal. Cremation as Jean-Claude requested will be held in South Branch Crematorium, Cornwall, Ontario. RANKIN – Maurice Hamilton

Passed away peacefully at the Cornwall Community Hospital, McConnell Site on Sunday, March 8, 2009, at the age of 75 years. Retired employee of the St. Lawrence Seaway Authority. Beloved father of the late Kimberley Rankin, Heidi Ariano (Gino) of Toronto, Ontario and Lori Yates (Ian) of Cornwall, Ontario. Sadly missed by his four grandchildren, Sarah, Paige, Abigail and Ethan. Loved son of the late William and Orpha (née Hart) Rankin. Dear brother of Camilla Roberts (late Robert) of Cobourg, Ontario and Bill Rankin (Ruth) of Long Sault, Ontario. Predeceased by his sisters, Audrey Darling (late Walter), Marjorie Bourgon (late Charles), Rhoda Markell (late George) and Verna Franklin (late Harold). Funeral arrangements are incomplete. GIBSON – Hugh Stewart

Passed way peacefully after a short battle with cancer at the Leonard A. Miller Centre, St. John’s, NL, on Wednesday, February 18, 2009. (Born in Dundee, Scotland, August 30, 1931). Leaving to mourn, his wife, Joan of Lancaster, Ontario, his daughters Lynn, Diane, sons, Stewart, Ken, Brian, 11 beautiful grandchildren, his brother Donald in Australia and numerous friends and family in Newfoundland, Ontario, Quebec and Scotland. Predeceased by his daughter, Sandy Nicholson (née Gibson) and granddaughter, Amanda Nicholson. Visitation and Service will take place at The Royal Canadian Legion (Branch 544) at 119 Military Rd., Lancaster, on Sunday, March 15, 2009. Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., when Memorial Service will begin.
