SCOTT – Keith

Passed away suddenly at Glengarry Memorial Hospital, Alexandria, Ontario on Monday, March 16, 2009. Mr. Keith Hinton of Martintown, Ontario, formerly of Montreal, QC and Prescott, Ontario, age 54 years. Beloved husband of Colleen Corbett. Dear father of Sean Batty of Toronto, Ontario and Cameron Hinton of Martintown. Dear brother of the late Wayne Hinton (Hilda) of Mississauga, Ontario. Son of the late Adolphus Hinton and the late Patricia Lariviere. PARENTEAU – Verla

Passed away peacefully at the Cornwall Community Hospital, McConnell Site on Sunday, March 15, 2009, age 83 years. Mrs. Verla Annie Parenteau, (née Waldroff) of Newington, Ontario. Beloved wife of the late Henry Parenteau. Loved mother of Linda Smith (Colvin) of Alberta, Judy Murphy (Pat) of Newington, Jean Bryer (Clayton) of Cornwall, Ontario, Karen Ducolon (Grant) of Newington, Harvey Parenteau (Marian) and Alan Parenteau all of Alberta. Dear sister of Phyllis Rupert of Ottawa and Brenda Major (Tom) of Avonmore. Sadly missed by 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents, John and Nina (McMaster) Waldroff and one son, Calvin Parenteau. Cremation. Visitation will be held at the Brownlee Funeral Home, 18 Front St. Finch on Thursday from 7-9pm. A service in celebration of Verla Parenteau’s life will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 20, 2009 at 1pm. Committal Service at a later date Memorial Hill Cemetery in Lunenburg. Passed away at the Janet Macdonell Pavilion on Sunday, March 15, 2009. Mr. Marcel Henri Lefebvre of Martintown, Ontario, age 67 years. Beloved husband for 46 years of Andrée (Routhier) Lefebvre. Loving father of Joanne Lefebvre (David Lalonde) of Cornwall and Sandra Howes (Kevin) of Vankleek Hill. Cherished grandfather of Shayne, Amanda, Stacey, Kristen, Leanne, Thomas, Jonathan, Sarah and Katelin. dear son of Carmelle (Henri) Lefebvre of Cornwall and the late Edgar Lefebvre. Dear brother of Vivianne Martel (Richard) of Cornwall, Denise Dugas (Gerard) of Summerstown, Louise Ball (Wayne) of Baltimore, Ontario, Raymond Lefebvre and Edgar Lefebvre (Joanne) both of Cornwall. HOLDEN – Matthew “Mattie”

Passed away at the Cornwall Community Hospital, McConnell Site on Saturday, March 14, 2009, age 87 years. Mattie Holden of RR#1 Cornwall. Beloved husband of Betty Holden (née Dodman). Loved father of Valerie Walters (Geoff) of Guelph, Dawn McEwan (Thomas) of Denver, Colorado and Gail Gates (Kevin) of Caladonia. Sadly missed by his grandchildren, Kristine, Kim, Lianne, Shannon, Stacey, Shelbey, Jacob, Zachary, Lisa, Henry and his great-grandchildren, Daniel, Noah, Adrien, Fenno, Alexander and Aspen. Predeceased by his parents Harry and Sarah (Stevenson) Holden and one brother, Charles Holden. Cremation. A service in celebration of Mattie Holden’s life will be held in Salem United Church, Summerstown, on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 2pm. Reverend Jackie Frioud officiating. SCOTT – Margaret (Peggy)

Passed away on Friday, March 13, 2009, at the Cornwall Community Hospital, McConnell Site, age 85 years. She leaves behind her daughter Jane Alvey (Keith) of Harrowsmith and her son Joseph (Denise) of Cornwall. Also surviving her are her grandchildren, Rebecca Rondinelli (Tom) of London, Jessica Solomon of Timmins, Michael Scott of Cornwall, and Stacey Scott of Ottawa, five great-grandchildren, Gianna, Hannah, Isabella, Bailey and Owen and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Lawrence Scott, and by her grandson, Eric Solomon as well as 7 brothers and 4 sisters. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held in Timmins, Ontario at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cornwall Community Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Special thanks to Dr. Levac and Dr. Randlett and the nursing staff of the Palliative Care Unit for their compassion and the care they gave Peggy during her illness.
