Two men arrested for allegedly breaking into cars and a garage in Riverdale

CORNWALL, Ontario – Shane Perkins, 22 and Ryan Mitchell, 20 both of Cornwall were arrested on Aug. 16, 2016. It is alleged in the early morning hours of Aug. 16, 2016 police were contacted to investigate two suspicious persons going through parked cars and a garage in the Riverdale area specifically Blakely Drive. Once on scene they located the two men and took them into custody. The men were found to be in possession of stolen property from various vehicles in the area. They were charged as follows:

Perkins:

  • Trespass by night
  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Theft under $5000

Mitchell:

  • Break and enter (Garage)
  • Trespass by night
  • Property obtained by crime
  • Possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine)
  • Breach of recognizance for breaching curfew
  • Breach of probation for being in the possession of drugs, breaching curfew and failing to keep the peace.

Both men were held for a bail hearing.
