UPDATE: Cyclist dies after South Glengarry collision with car

CORNWALL, Ontario – A 62-year-old South Glengarry cyclist was killed on County Road 25 on Thursday.

SDG OPP say Francisco Teruel died after his bicycle and a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier collided at approximately 8:30 a.m.

Provincial police identified the driver as a 42-year-old South Glengarry man, who was left uninjured after his vehicle hit the cyclist from behind travelling westbound.

A section of County Road 25 (between Glen Roy Road and Frog Hollow Road) was closed until 2 p.m.

Police are still investigating the collision. No charges have been laid.
